Three Weeks of Miracles: From Launch to Father’s Day Blessings

June 2, 2024, marked a significant milestone in our journey at Christian Life Center West Boca as we successfully launched our Sunday morning service. This achievement was the culmination of a 13-month-long journey of seeking God’s will and direction for a venue. Reflecting back, it’s incredible to see how God has faithfully guided us every step of the way.

Sunday Launch

We began our weekly service in May 2023, holding Saturday night gatherings at a local Brazilian fellowship. This was our only option at the time, but we embraced it wholeheartedly. During this period, we witnessed God’s faithfulness as He drew more people into our community of faith. We leaned heavily on the promise of Matthew 7:7, where Jesus says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” This scripture became our anchor as we continued to press forward with unwavering faith.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

The turning point came when I received an unexpected call from a local pastor inviting me to breakfast. Little did I know that this meeting would open the door to our new Sunday morning venue. On June 2, 2024, we launched our Sunday morning worship service in West Boca, and the excitement and anticipation were palpable. We could see how God had divinely orchestrated our journey, and now, three weeks into our new location, I am proud to say that Christian Life Center West Boca is thriving!

In the weeks following our launch, we have witnessed God’s miraculous work in our congregation. Prophetic words are coming to pass, healing is happening in both hearts and bodies, and God is restoring many of His sons and daughters into the household of faith. We sense that He is just getting started.

This past week was especially wonderful as I spent time with my bride in Fort Lauderdale Beach, preparing for the Father’s Day message. Reflecting on my life and the amazing grace and goodness of God, I was led to three key ideas for my message:

  1. What is my number one goal as a father and man of God?
  2. What is my number one role as a pillar of faith?
  3. What is my number one responsibility as an image-bearer of the Most High, called to love His bride as Christ loves the church, and to raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord?

Father’s Day weekend was filled with fellowship and joy. On Saturday afternoon, a group of us from West Boca participated in an ax-throwing event at Game of Axes in West Boca. It was a time of camaraderie and competition, where Chris, our host, shared his expertise in professional ax-throwing. Each man relished in the sport and embraced our responsibilities towards our community.

West Boca Men’s Event

That evening, I had the unique experience of driving a Lamborghini Huracan along the scenic A1A in Fort Lauderdale, with my two sons as passengers. It was a surreal moment, a reminder of God’s providence, goodness, and mercy in my life. As a proud father of three wonderful children and husband to a beautiful, God-fearing woman, I reflected on how blessed I have been in this journey from prison to pulpit.

As I laid down that night on Father’s Day eve, my heart was full. Surrounded by the goodness of God, I felt undeserving yet immensely grateful. Sunday morning arrived, and I rose early to finalize my preparations for the Father’s Day message. My goal was to encourage and inspire the men of Christian Life Center West Boca, emphasizing the importance of their roles in advancing God’s kingdom as husbands and fathers.

Our day concluded with a private family gathering at home, enjoying grilled food and each other’s company. Reflecting on how God has used my life to impact others, and how others have shaped me into the man I am today, I am most grateful for my Father in heaven who never changes and always loves me.

This journey from prison to pulpit continues to be a testament to God’s transformative power and the blessings that follow faithful obedience. God is indeed up to something great, and I am excited to see what He has in store for us next.
